    Ended the French and Indian war because France didn’t want to fight a war. So the colonist won with little help from Great Britain
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    The colonist couldn’t move past the Appalachians Mountains so England can keep them close to them and keep getting raw material
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Put taxes on anything printed like newspaper and playing cards and even if you bought something a while ago you still had to pay the tax for it
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    It was an act that Britain used to replace the stamp act while they were changing the sugar act
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    Placed taxes on items that are not made in the colonies like paint, paper, glass, lead and tea.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The colonist starting throwing rocks and sticks at the British soldiers and they thought they heard a gunshot so they fired and killed 5 colonist

    Put taxes on the colonist tea so England got more money

    People from Sons Of Liberty dressed like Indians and threw over 400 boxes of tea of a ship

    Closed the Boston Harbor so colonist couldn’t get anything from England like stuff they couldnt make until they paid the dept for all the tea they threw overboard

    Meets in Philadelphia and adjourns October 26

    Lexington and Concord
    Was the shot heard around the world and started the revolution was a distraction for the British so they couldn’t steal their guns
  • Midnight ride: Paul revere, cheswell, dawes

    Midnight ride: Paul revere, cheswell, dawes
    Paul Revere, Wentworth Cheswell, and William Dawes warned the colonist that the British were coming so they can prepare for the attack
  • 2nd Continental Congress

    They meet in Philadelphia for the second time to make the Declaration of Independence wich Thomas Jefferson worte and Jhon Handcock wrote his name big so King George can read it without his glasses
