-the main cause of the war was the attempt to overthrow the goverment os south vietnam.
-the vietnam war was a civil war between the communist north and powestern south.
-north vietnam ( communists) who achieved their goals of reuniting and gaining independence for the whole vietnam won the war, whereas south vietnam under the U.S support lost the war.
-more than 3 million people (including over 58000 americans) were killed in the vietnam.
