    The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the first military engagement of the American Revolution. This battle marked the outbreak of open armed conflict between Great Britain and the thirteen colonies. In this battle 73 of the British were killed, and 174 wounded. For the Colonies 49 were killed, and 39 wounded.
  • The Battle of Bunker Hill

    The Battle of Bunker Hill
    The American troops learned that British sent to troops to Boston to occupy the hills surrounding the city.William Prescott ordered his men built protection on Breed’s Hill.The American colonies were limited on supply ammo they were instructed to not shoot until they saw the white of their eyes.When the British got close enough the American colonies shot forcing the British to retreat.The British went up the hill again and caught the Americans low on ammo.The Americans were forced to retreat.

    The Battle of Saratoga was the first battle that Americans and British faced each other. The army was made up of men who were nor trained very well. Instead of retreating, they faced the British and won. This was important because it allowed the French to come in our side to give us naval power, troops, and money.

    The Battle of Trenton was when George Washington snuck the boat across the Delaware River to Trenton, New Jersey. They defeated 1,000 Hessians after they surrounded to them.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    General Albert Cornwallis massed his troops in Yorktown to be supplied by Chesapeake Bay. This didn’t work out because the French arrived to Chesapeake Bay. The French sank British ships and bombard Cornwallis from the sea, causing Cornwallis to surrender from the French.
