    Abolitonsits and stockholders and shepherds and conductor/agent and parcels and station masters were involved in the Underground railroad.The underground railroad inculded path,rivers houses and stations . The slaves went to Ohio, Pennslyvania, and up to canada.The reason was because slaves were whip really bad and beaten and slaves wanted freedom.The underground railroad transported the slaves up north in the free states. The salves escaped at night.

    The Missouri Compromise
    The Missouri Compromise was to decide whether the states in the new territories were free or slave states.The 36/30 line said that any territoirs north of the line is a free state and any thing south is a slave state. But Missouri was north of the 36/30 line. even though Missouri is north of the 36/30 line it's a slave state.and Manie was admitted as a free state so they will kept the banlance between free and slave states.

    Nat Turner
    Nat Turner was a leader of a slave rebellion that took place in Virginia in 1831. the group was of 60 or70 slaves. Nat Turner a slave and his followers killed 60 plantation owers and family members. 3000 troops were sent out to capture Nat Turner and his follwers. Nat Turner was executed by hanging in jail.

    There was the same number of slave and free states. That year California wanted to become a state. Some states would threatened to secede or leave the union. California join the as a free state. U.S has more anti-slavery senators than the south has proslavery senators. The land we gained from the Mexican American War gets to decide if they want slaves or not. ( Popular Sovereignty ) Washington D.C no longer could have the slave trade but they could have slaves there

    The people didn't like Stephen Douglas idea of the two states choosing weather they should be state or free states. The Act could speed up the railroad.

    John Brown,an aboltionist and his men killed 5 men because of the bleeding kansas. There was a lot of unraising of people killing other people to show they din't like the Kansas Nebraska Act that was past.
  • Dred Scott case

    Dred Scott case
    Dred Scott try to sue for his freedom that didn't work out very good because the court judge said he wasn't a cizten of the united states he couldn't sue for his freedom. Dred Scott was sold to a doctor and he died a year later then his widow hired him and his family. Then the widow turn over Dred Scott to her brother. Scott was born a slave in 1799 in virginia. Scott didn't give up on on sueing for freedom. Scott and his family got freedom the year that Dred scott died.
