the undrer ground rail road was not a rail road they call it that because they were hidden passage ways that lead to the north. some of the paths go over tha app mts and some in the swanp. -
The Missouri Compromise
Congress did make decisions’ but it wasn't easy for there state. The senate had to maintain the balance between slave and free state representation. Missouri had become a slave state it was free. Also every thing that was north of 36,30 had become a free state. The south wanted Missouri to be a slave state but the north did not want to be a slave state. The south wanted to be a slave state because they already had slaves that were livening down there. -

The north did not want to be a slave state because it gets cold up north and there were very little slaves in the north. They also had people that disagreed in the north because they did not want slaves. Missouri had become a slave state and the south had slaves and the north did not have any slaves. There was a line called the 36,30 line so it was split up the middle between the south and the north. -
Nat Turners Rebellion
The Nat turners rebellion was the leader of a bunch of slaves and they went the white slave owners. He lead a group of 200 slaves to go slavery. Nat turner got thrown in jail and was sentenced to death. He was hung. So there were laws down in the south states and said the slave were not aloud to vote -

This was brought up by henry clay also called "the great compromiser'. he wanted to make califona a free state. This decited on what states should be free or slave states. If the slaves were run aways and you that they were in the north you can be fined of put in jail. -

the tension in th kansas territory began when the missori compromise was struck. the north wanted kansas to be free and the south want it to be a slave territory i choose that date because thats when it started -
