    this compromise was established for the territory of Luissianna for Misssouri. they joined the union as a slave state and gave the sout more representatives in the senete so the north said lets get Maine to join the union as a free state and they did just that.

    The date I have is the day he died. David Walker was a famous abolishonist and was african american. He wrote a book called the appeal. this bok said that blacks had the power to reighn over slavery and act out. This book provoked violence for the slaves to act out against there masters using violence

    Nat Turners rebelion
    Nat Turners rebelion was a bad thing for slaves but it was made to help slavery but it didn't. this was a rebelion to kill plantation owners and there family and about 65 or more plantaion owners and there family got killed and this made lifes for slaves harder because they thought that there slaves were going to turn so they beat them so they wouldn't even if they were loyal to the owner. the owners that didn't die but lost slaves were reimbersed for all the slaves that died.

    there is no certin date but the date i have is the date they think it happened. the underground railroad was a secret routes to help enslaved people to get to the north or canada.they had routes that went up the ohio, the Mississippi, and the Apps. there were also swamps and marshes to hide from the slave catchers and there dogs that they used to try to sniff the escaper slave/slaves. they also had alot of signals a songs that helped escaes now that a catcher was coming and the way north.

    The compromise of 1850 started in January 29, 1850.
    This compromise said that CA would join the union as a free state (which did not follow the 36'30' line). It also said that there would be no more slave auctions in Washington D.C.This compromise gave the south the fugative slave law which stated that any runaway slave had to be brought back to the south and if you didn't follow the law you were fined or arrested. you would aslo get paid for bring back the slaves.runaway went to Canada.

    this act was a violent period of time that crazy pepole acted out in violence against slavery
  • kansas-nebraska act

    kansas-nebraska act
    this allowed territories in kansas and nebraska to choose wether or not to have slavery in there state within their borders. this act repealed the compromise of 1820 that prohibitied slavery 36' 30' line. The Kansas Nebraska Act infuriated many in the North who considered the Missouri Compromise to be a long-standing binding agreement. alot of violence occured during this act.

    this was a case about a free black man called dred scott was taken into the south to be a slave. he wanted to fight about it so they went to court. rodger taney said that dred scott was infireor and without rights. he couldnt get freedom anyways cause he was concidered property,he lost seven / two. it was origanaly called Scott vs. Sandford.

    this election had 4 people to vote for, Abraham Lincoln, John Bell, Stephen A. Douglas, and John C. Breckinridge. all the eastern states voted for Abe and two western states CA and OR. all of the southern states voted for Breckinridge. these guys were the most ones to get votes but Abe got more electorial votes, thats what counted. Abe got 180 and Breckinridge got 72.

    this was the start of the cival war. the attack started at 4:30 in the morning. the fort was serounded by confederate forts so supplie ships couldnt gt to the for and they couldnt attack it from behind cause of the swampy marshes the would lose cannons and guns. so the fort was destroyed by the confederate. there were no casualties alll but a union horse.
