    The Under Ground Railroad has seen a lot of runaway slaves or fugitives in its day. It has also helped runaway slaves to escape to "Canaan"(Canada). The Underground Railroad had station masters that help slaves escape. Conductors also helped the slaves escape from their masters. The UGRR went through the states to Canada (Canaan) because just being in the north didn’t mean they were free Canada did not have slavery so the blacks were free there.     Natt turner got angry and gathered other slaves from his plantation and said we will get revenge on the whites
    happened how the interveiw said is he did it because he wanted to be feared by the whites and he did that but it caused violence.

    There were five parts to this compromise. these steps are
    1.) California was allowed to be a free state.
    2.) voters in the territories could decide what to do with its land won from war with mexico.
    3.) slave trade was no longer allowed in Washington D.C
    4.) Texas had to give up the land they were fighting mexico for and the government gave mexico 10 million dollars.
    5.) finally it had the fugitive slave act this alowed them to come up and re claim there slaves.

    The kansas nebraska act replaced the act of 1820. after it was passed the slavery suprters and antislavery suporters ran to kansas and nebraska like kids and ice cream.

    Dread Scott thought that scince he was in a free state that he should be free and so he sued for his freedom.
    The Court ruled in favor of them the first time and the second time overturned the decision.
    It was in the Circut Court of Missouri.
    It was in 1842 when Dread was ready to move back to Missouri.
    Dread thought that he was free because he was in a free state so he was free.
    But it didn't happen like he wanted.

    Abraham lincoln won this election because he got 180 votes and the minimum votes needed to win was 152. He won without one single southern vote. Althought he was all for slavery he had to act like a democrat would act.

    Lincoln sent suplies to the fort and the south decided that they would stop supplies from reaching the fort the south decided kill them and take the fort.
    The fort was taken by confederate and the fact that they were being killed was the thing that made Lincoln take action.
    It was at fort sumter along the carolina cost.
    It happened on the 12th of april in 1861 which caused the civil war.
    The south did it because they thought that the north already declared war when they didn't.
