    David Walker was born in September 28 1785 and died on June 28 1830. He wrote the Walkers appeal(1828) to make slaves protest against slavery. He was a black male who was born a free man. Slavemasters had a price on his head becasue they hated him.he was supposed to be captured by Nat Turners Rabellion.

    Underground Railroad

    The Underground Railroad wasnt a real railroad. It was a secret passage way for runaway slaves to escape north. The runaways had many secret codes such as steal away steal away steal away from jesus, which means that a runaway was attempting to escape. Most of the people ranaway from the upper south because it wasnt that hard to escape from. The swampes were a great escape route because the tracking dogs and bounty hunters couldnt track you. The only bad things were snakes and poisions animals.

    Missouri Compromise/ Comprimise of 1820
    The state of Missouri applied for state hood. They had a debate on slavery being allowed in missouri. James Tallmadge of New York said that no more slaves allowed in the state of Missouri. The slaves at the age of 25 should be freed. Congress could set conditions for the new state. It ws resolved by the two-part comprimise. They were south of the 36'30' line that split the Louisiana Territory. 1854 Kanas-Nebraska Act by Franklin Pierce and the Dred Scott Case.

    Nat Turners Rebellion
    Nat Turner (preacher) and 60 to 70 slaves went to free all the other slaves in the south. It was about the slaves trying to free the other ones. it happened in Aug. 22 1831. It was in Southampton Virgina. It started at the Travis plantation. They killed 50 to 60 slave owners. Killed 57 white people in 48 hours.It happened. He was born on the secong of october

    StephenDouglas was the leader of it. He wasnted to run for President. Kanas & Nebraska became a state. It would get rid of the 36'30'. The slave power denouced douglas. it was a peaceful vote in the terriotories.
