Battle of Lexington and Concord
Minutemen were going to attack the red coats. When out of know where a shot was fired and the shot became known as "the shot heard around the world" but no one knows who shot it. After Lexington the British troops continued their march to ward Concord and word had spread that the British were on their way. Colonists hid to create a secret ambush on the redcoats. When the British marched their way to concord the groups attacked. That's when the war for the Americans' independence had begun. -
Bunker hill
Colonists seized the hill and hid only allowing few to be visible gaining a tactical advantage. The colonists took down a lot of British but ran out of ammo and retreated, but they still technically won the battle. -

Battle of Saratoga
This was a turning point of the American Revolution. It was very important because it convinced the French to give the U.S. military support. It lifted American spirits, ended the British threat in New England by taking control of the Hudson River, and most importantly, showed the French that the Americans had the potential to beat their enemy, Great Britain. -
Battle of Trenton
George Washingtons army crossed the icy Delaware river on Christmas to attack the Hessians at Trenton. And captured over 900 Hessians and had only 5 casualties. It was a sneak attack against the Hessians. -
Battle of Yorktown
The Battle of Yorktown ended in victory for the Americans and Britain realizing that the war is just to costly to continue. This battle was the last recognized large conflict in the Revolutionary war and was the first step King George took in acknowledging the thirteen states' independence.
