Digital camera
A digital camera is a camera that stores pictures in electronic memory instead of film. Because of this, a digital camera can hold more pictures than a traditional film camera.
My mother loves to take pictures of me and she prints the pictures and puts it in a photo album. -
Educational charts
A chart is a good means or aid of teaching. An example of an educational chart is the alphabet chart. It helps in teaching alphabets in words with pictures and drawings that are related to the learner's environment to help learners to start communication.
When I was a child, my mother filled our bedroom wall with educational charts such as alphabet charts, numbers, colors, animals, and others. -
Television
A television is a system for transmitting visual images and sound that are reproduced on screens, chiefly used to broadcast programs for entertainment, information, and education.
My mother told me that when I was still a child, after waking up every morning, I would turn on the TV and watch news telecasts. After that, we also watch drama series. -
School textbooks
A textbook is a book containing a comprehensive compilation of content in a branch of study with the intention of explaining it.
The first time I encountered school textbooks was when my mother enrolled me in kindergarten. I was four years old that time. -
Radio
A radio is a way to send electromagnetic signals over a long distance, to deliver information from one place to another. It is an electronic medium of audio communication. Through news, talk shows, adverts and other programmes, radio creates awareness in society of what is happening within and outside a given society.
Every Sunday morning, my mother plays music on the radio. There are beautiful songs every Sunday morning that are played on the radio. -
Computer
A computer is an electronic device for storing and processing data, typically in binary form, according to instructions given to it in a variable program.
There were computer shops in our area before that allowed us to play games and surf online for only one peso. -
Facebook
Facebook is defined as an online social networking website where people can create profiles, share information such as photos and quotes about themselves, and respond to the information posted by others.
I use Facebook for communication, for reading updates, and for sharing an event. -
Brochure
A brochure is a small book or magazine containing pictures and information about a product or service.
I remember in the brochure of AVON, in the perfume section, there are pages where you can rub your fingers on the part of the page and you can smell the actual scent of the perfume. -
Cinema
A Cinema is a theater where movies are shown for public entertainment; a movie theater.
Watching movies in a cinema is a good way to bond with families and friends. It has a large screen where you can feel that you are in the actual scene. The lights are off too so you won't notice the other people in the cinema and you can focus on the movie. My family and I usually watch in the cinema during the Christmas season. -
Ebook
Ebook, or in full, electronic book, is a digital file containing a body of text and images suitable for distributing electronically and displaying on-screen in a manner similar to a printed book.
I first encountered an ebook when my aunt bought a second hand phone and I borrowed it and I found an ebook file on the home screen. I got interested and shared the file to my phone. When I finished reading the story, I searched online for other stories and I found the Wattpad app. -
Smartphone
A smartphone is a mobile phone that performs many of the functions of a computer, typically having a touchscreen interface, internet access, and an operating system capable of running downloaded applications.
I used my smartphone for playing games, for access on facebook and youtube, and for communication. -
Youtube
YouTube is a video sharing service that allows users to watch videos posted by other users and upload videos of their own.
I usually watch videos on youtube during my free time. Mostly, I am watching tutorials, k-dramas, and other videos depending on my mood. -
Laptop
A laptop is a computer that is portable and suitable for use while traveling.
For me, a laptop is more convenient to use than computers. It can be taken anywhere and it is not heavy. It also has a built in keyboard and touchpad. -
Flashdrive
A flashdrive is a small electronic device containing flash memory that is used for storing data or transferring it to or from a computer, digital camera, etc.
I use a flash drive to store movie files, pictures, and other documents. -
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Word or MS Word (often called Word) is a graphical word processing program that users can type with. It is made by the computer company Microsoft. Its purpose is to allow users to type and save documents. Similar to other word processors, it has helpful tools to make documents.
I use MS Word in doing school activities. It is convenient to use because it can be used even without internet connection and you can edit the font, the page, and you can attach pictures. -
Projector
A projector or image projector is an optical device that projects an image (or moving images) onto a surface, commonly a projection screen.
I remember when I was still in Grade 8, our teacher used a projector in showing us a video about our lesson. -
Tablet
A tablet computer, commonly shortened to tablet, is a mobile device, typically with a mobile operating system and touchscreen display processing circuitry, and a rechargeable battery in a single, thin and flat package.
I like to use a tablet because it has a bigger screen than a cellphone. However, I don't use it for taking pictures because it is not clear. -
Pocket books
Pocketbooks or pocket sized books are small, especially paperback books that can be carried in the pocket.
Aside from ebooks, I like to read pocket books during my free time. -
Printer
A printer is a machine for printing text or pictures onto paper, especially one linked to a computer.
I use a printer to print school requirements and activities. I also use it for business. There are people who want to print their pictures and we offer printing services. -
Shopee
Shopee is a company which focuses mainly on e-commerce. It was first launched in Singapore in 2015, and later expanded its reach to other countries including the Philippines.
We use the shopee app for buying things online. It is a convenient way of shopping because you can just type the item that you need and after placing your order, you will just wait for it to be delivered in your home. The disadvantage is that you cannot personally see the item, you will just base on the reviews on the shop. -
Google Meet
Google Meet is a video-communication service developed by Google.
Due to pandemic, face to face classes are still not allowed so for the students like me who chose online learning modality, we use google meet for attending classes online. It is a good app because you can see and talk to anyone in the meeting virtually because anyone can turn on the camera and microphone and can also chat in the chat box. There is also a new feature wherein you can raise your hand virtually. -
Google Classroom
Google Classroom is a free web service developed by Google for schools that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments. Students can be invited to join a class through a private code, or automatically imported from a school domain.
We use google classroom for passing our outputs online. It is a good app because it is organized. -
Google Docs
Google Docs is a free Web-based application in which documents and spreadsheets can be created, edited and stored online. Users of Google Docs can import, create, edit and update documents and spreadsheets in various fonts and file formats, combining text with formulas, lists, tables and images.
We use google docs in doing our school activities. It works like MS Word but it only works with internet connection. It is a good app because it has an auto correct spelling feature.
