Denmark Vesey began organizing the revolt He planned his attack for the summer, when most of the people would be on vacation Denmark was careful to choose only trustworthy individuals; most of these people were artisan slaves and were very smart.The original attack date moved forward after two conspirators were arrested. Sadly the rebels,no contact was made, and they were sold out, and most of the rebels were arrested
