Collaboration
Beginning with the 2015-16 school year, classrooms will be moving away from lines of desks in the classroom to small groupings of desks to encourage more collaboration, opportunities to create and share artifacts among the students. -
Instructional Videos
Beginning with the 2015-2016 school year, intermediate and secondary instructors will begin using instructional videos.The students are responsible for viewing the instructional videos at home, and when they are in the school setting they will be completing the work in class in small groups or as individuals. This allows time for the students to deomstrate their understanfing of the instrucitonal materials while in class with the support of the teacher. -
Cloud based texts and curriculum
This school year wil mark the move from textbooks to cloud based learning and intructional videos. -
Decrease the need to paper use
This marks the year when schools begin the move to online instructional materials, and the use of technology devices begin their implementation in the schools. This will reduce the need for paper use, and students will no longer need to carry heavy packpacks filled with binders and books to and from school. -
Digital dropbox and portfolios
With the move to intruactional videos, and online text books, intrructors will now be able to view homework and projects by using digictal dropboxes. While this is in the beginning process in 2015, I believe it will be used country wide by the year 2018 -
Attendance scanners
By the year 2020, most of everything completed in the educational settings will be through the use of technology, inculding attendance. Students will be scanned by fingerprints to mark attendace at school.
