Why: When the South becomes dependent on slaves to do their work for them. -

The South did not want to pay for a milicha so the war did not ebnifet them at all. -
Declaration of Independence "All Men are created equal"
What: The Declaration of Indenpendence stated that "All Men are created equal".
Why: This was significent because it said that "All men are created equal". No one stayed true to this, they still treated Afircan Americans poorly. -

The Cotton gin was made and it helped the Cotton production and the South. -
Government Disagreeing on Slavery
The South and the North Congress did not want slavery so they started to get into a heated debate, that would lead to the Cival War. -

Maine would enter as a free states and Missouri would enter as a slave owning state. This made the North and South even with their slave owning and non-slave states. -
Nat Turner Rebellion
Nat tuener rebellion made people trn their views of the slavery. Scarred many people and lead people to think that slaves were dangerous and bad/horriable. -
Annexation of Texas
The South did want to annex Texas because they would expand their plantations and farms. The North did not because they did not want to have a slave owning state. -
