The Revolutionary War was caused by the angry colonists due to the invention of taxing. Taxing was created because they won the war and they needed to gain thier money back. The war led to debt and debt led to taxes. Also, the Albany Plan of Union created the Albany Congress.. But the plan was rejected. -

The Proclamation of 1763
This act banned all colonists from settiling west of the line in the Appalachian Mountians, they must move east of that line. They fought for this land, and they had a right to live where they pleased. But the colonists widely ignored them. -
The Boston Tea Party of 1763
342 containers of tea carying 9,000 poundes were thrown overbord. 116 people nparticipated in the destruction of the tea. -
Sugar act of 1764
This wa s a tax on sugar, molasses and other things that the colonies imported. Taxation without representaion is tyranny. Colonists protected and complained over this act. -
Quartering Act Of 1765
This act required colonists to house soliders , and supplie them. Colonists said "It's not our job to do this" They felt as if their rights as English men were violated. -
Stamp Act Of 1765
This unfair act of taxation taxed things such as diplomas, contracts, newspaper, and even playing cards. the coloinists viewed this as an unfair tax. People boycotted these goods. The boycotts were lead by a group called the sons of liberty. -
Towshed Act of 1767
Britain wouldn't tax goods in the colonies tax on imports including lead tea, glass, and more. Colonists felt that this was a still act and tax rights were being violated. The reaction of colonists smuggled goods, into the ships. -
Boston Massacre of 1770
There was a solider looking for extra work for money, and someone joked around teling him to clean the toilets, this got him upset. They started arguing, then it tured into a fight, so they began pucshing and shoveing, and throughing stones and peices of ice at the British sentry, He got knocked down. -
Tea Act of 1773
This act taxed tea three pience a pound. The colonists put tea merchants out of business. Ccolonists threw 342 containers of tea over board. -
Intolerable act of 1774
This act closed the port of Boston untill the tea was paid for, this got the coloists angrey. So trials moved to England, and they banned town meetings. This strengthend the quartering act. -
The First Continental Congress of 1774
This was a meeting for the colonies to discuss what to do in the responses of British taxation. They demanded repeal and thought they had the right to govern themselves. They trained malitaieas and boycotted goods. -
Paul Revere's ride of 1775
Paul Revere warned the colonists that the British were coming, this helped them alot so they could hide and prepare for fire. -
Lexington and Concord of 1775
700 British troops head to concord to seize munitions. It was important because 77 minuetmen waiting for British; shots fired; 8 farmers were found dead, and the war begun. It was the first time that soilders versed soilders. This was heard around the world becausee it was going to have a huge impact on the world.
