King George 111 sends the military to guard the Appalachian mountains. Prevent war/conflict.

    Who did it affect: This affected the colonists.like any colonist living in the west had to move back to the east.
    When: It happened in 1763
    What did the Proclamation do to the colonies?: Made the colonists mad because it limited colonists freedom and put them under more control under the British.
    How is this a cause that led to war?: This led to war because the colonists felt as though the British were controlling them and took away the things they fought for.

    When was it enacted: it was passed in 1764 How did it affect the colonists? It affected the colonists because they had to raise taxes and Colonies of new England were impacted because they needed sugar and molasses. How is this a cause that led to war?: Colonists in the north wanted to raise awareness in the middle and southern colonies for what the British parliament was doing.

It affected the colonists by making them protest because they thought it was an attempt to raise money from Great Britain. How is this a cause that led to war?: because they saw it as an attempt by Great Britain to raise money in the colonies without colonial approval and this started a big protest.

This affected them because they felt like they didn't have a voice and they wanted to have the same rights as the other British subjects. How is this a cause that led to war?: This led to war because the colonists wanted to have the same rights as every other British subject. And to have a voice in the British government.

    Who: It was a lot of tension with the British troops Where: It took place in Boston When: This event happened on march 5, 1770 What happened and why: British soldiers were responding to calls about protests and violence but it soon led to them opening fire and killing five colonists. How is this a cause that led to war? This incident further united the colonists against Great Britain .In March 1773, every colony formed its own committees of correspondence.

    When was it enacted: In 1773, Parliament passed the Tea Act How did it affect the colonists? - Protests occurred in Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Charleston. How is this a cause that led to war?:It led to war because about 80% of all tea in the colonies was smuggled. In response, the Sons of Liberty and other colonists organized “tea parties” to protest the new law and prevent British tea from entering the colonies because they were boycotting British goods

    What happened and why: The Sons of Liberty dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor because Britain passed the tea act and the colonists were not happy .
    Outcome/effect:Most famous tea party occurred in Boston, where the Sons of Liberty dumped over $1.8 million worth of tea into the Boston Harbor.
  • Cause 8: Intolerable Acts

    Who:King George III wanted to punish the colonists for what had happened with the Boston tea party. Where: This happened in Boston and Massachusetts for what happened at the Boston tea party. When: This event was passed on march 24, 1774
    What happened and why: for different reasons, like the Boston Port Act closed the Boston Harbor until the East India Company was repaid.
    How is this a cause that led to war? - Because it was a way to punish Boston and Massachusetts for what happened.
