    By this time 55 delegates had gathered in Philadelphia. They voted to send a "Statement of Grievances". Which means they stated all their problems, and they wanted to repeal the 13 acts of Parliament. They also voted to boycott all British trade, this meant they wouldn't import or use any British goods. Which also meant they wouldn't sell their goods to Great Britain.

    Paul Revere was an American silversmith, engraver, a patriot, and a member of Sons of Liberty. On April 18, 1775 he rode all the way to Lexington and Concord to warn the Sons of Liberty that the British were coming. His famous words are remembered as, "The British are coming...The British are coming!!"

    This battle kicked off the entire Revolutionary War. This was also called the "shot heard round the world". The British ended with a victory in Lexington. The battle of Concord is much different. The Americans stop the British and it forces them to go back to Boston.

    The Americans gain victory with capturing Fort Ticonderoga. Benedict Arnold gathered 400 normal people, know as a militia. Along the way he heard news that another attack was planning on happening, which was led by Ethan Allen. They end up joining forces and get all the supplies in the Fort.

    This meeting was a group of delegates from the 13 colonies formed in Philadelphia. At this meeting they issued the paper currency and wanted to raise the continental Army. In response to the Americans raising a continental Army, the British King hires 30,000 Hessian soldiers.

    This was fought on whats called breed's hill. The British gained victory, but this could've ended different if the Americans didn't run out of ammunition during the battle. The British did realize fighting the Americans was not and easy task.

    Washington now believes him and his men can gain victory over Britain. Now having more weapons, he puts cannons on Dorchester Heights which overlooks Boston. The British retreat and Americans gain victory.

    They have a debate on weather to declare Independence or not. They ask Thomas Jefferson to write The Declaration of Independence if they decide to sign it and send it out.

    They wanted Independence and they finally got it. Every single colony voted yes. Which is only 13, but it was still an overall vote for Independence.
