King George sent troops to guard Appalachian mountains to prevent another war

    Who issued it: King George III Who did it affect: British colonists When: October 7th 1763-1783 What did the Proclamation do to the colonies?: Colonists were not allowed to settle west in the Appalachian How is this a cause that led to war?: The colonists felt that the proclamation took their rights away as British citizens.

    When was it enacted: April 5th 1764- 1766 How did it affect the colonists? The sugar act was put in place by King George the 3rd. This act was basically putting Tariffs or a tax on imports and exports into the colonies like mullahs , coffee, wines, and textiles How is this a cause that led to war?: The colonists were upset about the tax because they felt like they had no say in Parliament.

They were taxes more because soldiers there around during peace times How is this a cause that led to war?: Colonists did not agree to being taxed even more then before and didn't think soldiers needed to be around in peacetime.
