  • Paul Revere's Ride

    Paul Revere and Joseph Warren were alerted from a stable boy that there would be "hell to pay tomorrow," from the British. Both began to spread the word and Revere went into Concord to give signs and warn of the danger that was to come.
  • Battles of Lexington and concord

    In the town of Lexington, British soldiers came and heard a shot fired, then shot and killed seven militiamen. British soldiers then came to Concord, where Minute Men came and killed up to 73 of the soldiers, and lost 49 of their own.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The British were trying to gain control over the city and took over two hills, Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill. The Americans found out, and secrectly went to defend the hills, creating the battle.
  • The Declaration of Independence

    Thomas Jefferson and other writers were asked by congress the crate the Declaration of Independence. This document included rights, and reasons why Americans should spilt off from Britain and are able to create their own government.
  • Washington's Crossing of the Delaware

    George Washington and the Continental Army crossed the river of Delaware into New Jersey. This was a surprise attack on Britain and turned into a victory that helped the war turn into the favor of the Americans.
  • Valley Forge

    This is where the American Continental Army made a camp. This is where American forces became a true army and a fighting unit.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    This was a series of battles that eventually caused British General, John Burgoyne, to surrender. The Americans had their victory, and it was a turning point in the Revolutionary War.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    The Battle of Yorktown was the last battle in the Revolutionary War. The British army surrendered and the British government started to consider a peace treaty.
