  • Industrial Revolution

    It began because new sources of energy were being used for machines. It made it possible for goods to be transported and for people to be moved quicker. The end of the Industrial Revolution is very debatable as to if it ever ended.

    It began because England wanted greater control over America. The Americans fought against Britain with the alliance of France. The American Revolution ended because America defeated Britain.

  • French Revolution

    The French Revolution began when the people of France stormed a prison. During, the people overthrew the monarchy. It ended because the people took control of the government.

  • Haitian Revolution

    It began because the slaves rebelled against the French. They fought against each other to claim freedom for the slaves. The Haitian Revolution ended because the slaves gained their freedom.

  • Revolutions of 1848

    It began because various ethnic groups began demanding independence from foreign roll and the establishment of their own nation-states. During the war there was a series of revolts against the European monarchies. The Revolutions of 1848 ended in failure and disbelief among liberals.

  • Xinhai Revolution

    It began because revolutionaries tried to overthrow the Qing. It resulted in a bunch of revolts and uprisings. It ended as a revolution that overthrew China's last imperial dynasty and established the Republic of China.

  • Russian Revolution

    The Russian people blamed the Tsar for entering the war and getting so many of their young men killed. During the revolution, the people revolted and a number of workers decide to strike. The Tsar was forced to give up his throne.

  • Chinese Communist Revolution

    It started because the alliance began to breakdown. During the revolution there was a purge. It ended because the communists took over China.

  • Cuban Revolution

    The Cuban Revolution began because Fidel Castro decided that the Cuban Regime could not be replaced through legal means. He launched an armed revolution.

  • Iranian Revolution

    It began because the citizens of Iran were very dissatisfied with the rulership of the Iranian king. They toppled the monarchy. It ended when they established a new Islamic republic.
