  • Lexington & Concord

    Lexington & Concord
    This battle was the start of the Revolution War. A lot of British troops went down to Concord to seize something down there. Then a militiamen started to rally the red coats. Then intense fire started to happen when they were leaving. This was significant becuase this is what made people want independence.
  • Bunker Hill

    Bunker Hill
    The Bunker Hill was a battle where British General puts his troops in Charlestown looking at Boston, Massachusetts then they run into American Colonists. The British was walking toward them then The American Colonist started to fire. They go into hand combat and the colonist had to retreat. This was significant to the Revolution War becuase the people that never been in a war has now practiced between the British Troops.

    Long Island, New york
    This battle was led by George Washington and it was successfully moved against the American Continental. This was a british campaign to seize control over New York and isolate New England. Washington was losing during the battle but him and his army still fought. This was significant because the british took over them and this could of got them more angry about the british troops.

    Battle of Trenton
    After the Crossing Delaware River in a storm, George Washington and his army defeated a garrison of Hessian mercenaries at Trenton. After they defeated them they stole supplies, including food & clothing. This was significant becuase they got more soldiers and got more confidence in fighting in wars.

    The British were trying to capture the colonial capital of Philadelphia but General Washington set up defensive along the Brandy River to guard it. The British General tricked him and went to go flank him. The birth General plan worked and Washington had to retreat. This was significant because that where was the important stuff was made.

    The Battle of Saratoga was a turning point for the Revolutionary War. The American colonist stopped the British Troops from controlling the Hudson River Valley. This was significant becuase they got an alliance with france because they could hold their own.
  • Valley Forge

    Valley Forge
    The valley forge was where General Washington and his army were staying. It was cold and they were running out of supplies. They were tired after losing a lot of battles. They chose this spot to keep an eye on the British troops in Philadelphia. This was significant because this is where the real army or the better army came about. Valley forge is often called the birthplace of the American Army.

    Battle of Yorktown
    This was the last major battle of the American Revolution. General Washington had His army plus the french army. This was a land and sea battle. This led the British troops to surrender. This was significant because it was the start of the nation's Independence.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian war between Great Britain and France. France gave up all its territories in the mainland of North America, ending any foreign military threat to the British colonies there. This was significant because it gave them Western territory after everything.
