    In Charlestown SC, named the battle of Bunker hill was a seige by the colonists on the British, the American's won, though losing 40% of their army. It was a major boost in Morale for the Americans, it keep the revolt going and fuel to the fire of the American Revolution.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Following the second continental congress, a huge step in the Americans goal for independence. The DOI was written as a formal decree that the Americans were going to go against Britain for their own freedom. This was a major win for the Americans as it sets the stage for their ultimate goal
  • Washington Crosses the Delaware

    Washington Crosses the Delaware

    After having been pushed north by the British, Washington took the opportunity to ambush the Hessians on the night of December 25. This was very successful, the americans took in some 900 prisoners and was a nice claw at success to keep the revolution going.

    An attempt to split up the north and south of the colonies/Americans. This was a failure by General John Burgoyne's lead and caused a loss for the British, and surrender of 6000 british people. This was an eye-opening moment for France to see that they should join in the conflict and help out the Americans

This was a win for the Americans yet again, it also was a major problem for britain as they had a new, larger enemy to deal with.

    After the british forces won at Guilford Courthouse, forces met up at Yorktown to build a base and group forces. The americans and French seiged the British at Yorktown and were victorious. This was a monumentous moment as it was the last major battle of the Revolutionary War.

    The Articles of Confederation were documents that served as american organization with the small of the government and Continental Congress. This was a good internal move for the Americans as it strengthened their government to give it some sort of form and order from within.

    Post defeat for the Britisha at Yorktown, battles were less frequent on land. Basically at this point Britain acknowledged America, kept canada, and gave back Florida to Spain. This was the end of the war, the ultimate victory for the western hemisphere.
