  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    Lexington and Concord were the first military engagements of the Revolutionary war. The battles were considered a major military victory and displayed to the British and King George the third that unjust behavior would not be tolerated in America.
  • the battle of Bunker Hill

    the battle of Bunker Hill
    The British decided to take two hills, Bunker Hill and Breed's hill in order to gain tactical advantages, and American forces heard about it and went to defend the hills. The battle of bunker hill was the first major battle of the American Revolution, where the British had won the battle.
  • Trenton

    When: December 1776
    Where: Trenton, New Jersy
    What: It was a small battle that the colonists backed out.
    Who: The Americans (colonist) and the British
    Why: This was another battle for their independence and the colonist backed out of the battle
  • Saratoga

    This was a small battle that happened in Saratoga, New York. The Americans won this war in their eyes. Battles of Saratoga were a turning point in the American Revolution because the British achieved a small, but costly victory over American. Which means they could not have enough money because they won't get the money from the colonists anymore. This war wasn't a really big war that happened in 17775 and it was against the Americans and the British.
  • Winter valley forge 1777-1778

    This war was a great trial for the American army because it was a good victory for them. Washington's army was struggling health-wise and being able to have a good food supply. Hundreds of the American soldiers died from a disease. The war was against the Americans and the British Soldiers.
  • The articles of Confederation

    The articles of Confederation were articles that were explaining all of the rules for the colonies. The Americans wrote this after the declaration of independence where they declared their independence from Great Britan. It established a weak central government that mostly prevented the individual states from conducting their own rules.
  • Yorktown

    This war happened in 1781 and the conflict was that Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington as French and American forces trapped the British at Yorktown, VA. French and American forces trapped the British at Yorktown which could be a turning point in the war for the Americans because they know they have more power over the British in this war. This war once again was against the Americans allied with the French and they fought against the British.
