  • Paul Revere's Ride

    Paul Revere's Ride
    Two lanterns were lit to indicate the British were crossing the Charles River, and Paul Revere begins his ride. His ride was to warn the townspeople the British were coming so they could be armed and ready to fight.
  • Battle of Lexington

    Battle of Lexington
    Paul Revere's ride started the Battle of Lexington. As the British marched from Boston to Concord, Lexington, MA would see the first shots and battle of the Revolutionary War. The British planned on going to Concord but since there were patriots ready to fight the battle began. It was a very important battle to the early Americans so that they would finally win their freedom from Britian.

    Inexperienced colonial soldiers hold off British veterans for more than two hours. Although they were forced to leave their position, including Bunker Hill overlooking Boston, the Americans show that they can hold their own.

    It's a document declaring the 13 American colonies independent from Great Britian. It was written by Thomas Jefferson and declared in effect July 4th 1776. It's what led to our independence from King George III and gave us liberty and equality.

    The Battle of Fort Washington was a loss for Americans and a victory for the British. The Americans were asked to surrender but they refused. The British attacked the fort and the Americans were overwhelmed. The Americans were forced to hide in fort and with all the firing had to surrender. it was a sad loss for Americans and they lost lots of soldiers while trying to keep Fort Washington.

    Battle of Brandywine
    The Battle of Brandywine was a hard loss for the Americans. General George Washington was stationed in Philadelphia with his army. He was aware of the oncoming British army and positioned troops along the Brandywine River. He hoped to force the British to where most his army was stationed, however General Howe had a better plan and sailed up the river and marched down south and attacked the Americans from the rear. The Americans outwitted and confused of the orders and were forced to surrender.

    Battle of Yorktown VA
    The Battle of Yorktown was the final battle of the American Revolutionary War. The Battle of Yorktown was a memorable battle and a remarkable victory for the Patriots and a tough loss for the British. There were many more American soldiers than British soldiers and when they tried to flee across the river it hey failed due to a storm and the Americans took over the fort. The Battle of Yorktown was the last major battle before the signing of the treaty of Paris.

    The Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris marked the end of the American Revolutionary War. After eight years of violence and loss, it was finally over. The British met with the Americans and signed a treaty of peace then the Americans were finally free to make their own rule and be their own people.

    The Constitution was approved by a unanimous vote by each state delegation. The Constitution established Americas government, laws and guaranteed basic rights for citizens.

    The Constitution of the United States of America is signed by 38 delegates at the constitutional convention in Philadelphia. Including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton.
