    British army fought 70 minutemen for 15 minutes. It was not a fair fight because the British had 700 people. The Colonist had time to organize an attack on Britain's while they search arsenals. When the Brits got ready to leave they were attacked and the colonist defeated Brits this battle.

  • Bunker Hill

    Thomas Gage was a general in british. He decided to attack colonist at Bunker Hill. It was a deadly battle. Many Colonist died (450) but even more Brits died (1000)
  • New York

    British troops capture New York, the colonist retreated and the Brits enter Pennsylvania.
  • Trenton

    The Continental Army wins a battle that boosts up the confidence of the soldiers and inspires more to enlist. George Washington leads them.
  • Saratoga

    General John Burgoyne and his troops surrender to the americans. Because of that France thinks they might win so they decide to help. They form an alliance.
  • Philadelphia

    The capital at the time was Philadelphia and brits take control of the colony.
  • Valley Forge

    George Washington’s army is beginning to die because they don’t have food and are freezing to death.
  • Marquis De Lafayette

    This guy and other france people help train the American army. Because of their help the Continental army begins performing better.
  • Yorktown

    French and Americans troops surround the brits. They keep attacking for a month until British surrenders
  • Treaty of Paris

    The US signs the Treaty of Paris. They confirm their independence and set their territory.
