Treaty officialy ended the Revolutionary War. It was signed in Paris by Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and John Jay. Under the treaty, Britain recognized the independent nation of the United States of America. Britian agreed to remove all troops. The treaty also set new borders for the US, including all land from the Great Lakes to Florida and from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi River. America also agreed to pay all existing debt owed to Great Britain.
