  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    On the 19th of April, 1775 a battle between the colonial Militia and British soliders broke out. It was because of weapons the Militia had stored there and the British found out. When the Britsh got word of the weapons they immediatly ordered an attack to destroy the weapons. 200 British soliders took on less than 100 Militia men at Concord. At the battle of Lexington some 300 British took on a little more than 100 Militia men.

    It was more at and around Breeds hill. When Militia leaders in the colonies learned that the British were sending troops out of the city to occupie unoccupied groups around the city of Boston they made barriers to fend of the British around the hills. Sadly the Militia lost and were forced to surrender.

    Shortly after George Washington crossed the Deleware river with his men this historic battle took place in the town of Trenton, New Jersey. Just after a brief battle the entire Hessain force was captured or killed. Before the battle the Continental army had suffered many defeats.

Cornwallis got overan by Washingtons army and French troops. when the General finally knew he couldnt fight them off he ordered to cease fire and surrendered to Washington.
