    The Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The first major battle that took place in Middlesex county, Massachusettes. The first shot was fired by the patriots. It was the first major battle of the Revolutuonary war. the patriots won.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The battle took place in boston. This was important because it was one of first losses in the Boston campaign. They also lost the land to the British on the 3rd Assault, after the colonists ran out of ammo.

    It is important, because they needed the fortification to battle fairly. they had to have good defense, because they had little to none offense, and not much people.

    It was important, because the British would have an ideal base in the cities harbor, so the colonists under George Washington's command, built defenses around the harbor. The majority of the colonist army as captured, or wounded. George Washingtpn then ordered them to evacuate. The British won.

    The continental army, after suffering several losses in New York, was in bad conditions, such as ice and snow, and that caused many troops to have to stay back. George Washinton and only 2,500 of his troops, found a Hessian barrack of 1500. They had just finished their Christmas feast, thought they were safe, and slept. The americans won by killing and capturing almost all fo them, though some escaped into the forest.

    This battle when lost allowed the British to control of Philidelphia. They then controlled that, and New York city, which were HUGE places. The British won.
