    Proclamation of 1763
    Description- It was to stabilize relations with the natives through trade, settlement, and land purchases after the French and Indian war. Significance- It encouraged British settlers to come to Canada and make sure that British laws and culture were established.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    Description- The citizens of Boston wanted the removal of British troops so they attacked with sticks, stones and snowballs. Additional troops were brought in and fired into the crowd. Killing 5 people. Significance- Was an event that lead to the Rev. War.

    Descrption- Political protest against the Tea Act. Colonists dreesed up as Indians and threw the tea in the harbor. Significance- 1 event that lead to the American Rev. War.

    Descrption- The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first battles in the Rev. War. Significance- The militiamen push back the British Army at the north bridge in Concord.

    Descrption- The fort was manned by 48 British soldiers that were over taken by the Green Mountains Boys and forced to surrender. Significance- American forces obtained cannos and ammunition.

    Descrption- Bunker Hill was a battle won by the British but they had many soldiers killed. Significance- Proved the colonials were willing to stand up to the British Army.

    Descrption- It was written by Thomas Paine. It was the first letter to the American people to ask for independece from Great Britain. Significance- It spoke to the average person.

    Description- It's were militiamen push back british troops from Boston. Washington was named commander-in-chief. Dorchester was fortified with cannos from Fort Ticonderoga. Significance- Real Navy took the British Army from Boston.

    Descrption- A statement to Great Britain that the colonies saw themselves as independant from Britain. Significance- It inspiered the colonist and soldiers. Which made people want to join the army.

    Descrption- It was drafted to reconcile with King George III. The King rejected it. Significance- It made the colonists realize they could have independence or submission to Britain.

    Descrption- It happened after Washington crossed the Delaware River. They captured the Hessian forces. Significance- It boosted morale and made for reenlistments.

    Description- Mercer's troops and the militia were retreating Mawhood's army and General Washington rallied them to fight. Significance- Washingtons army won the battle of Princeton!

    Description- Was 2 battles and the British won the first one. The Americans won the second one and caused Burgoyne's Army to surrender. Significance- The French joined the Americans and became a turning point in the war.

    Descrption- Was an encampment for George Washington's troops. They was starvation, disease, and exposure that killed about 25,000 soldiers. Significance- They finally got supplies and training.
  • Yorktown

    Description- We attacked from land and sea and forced Lord Cornwallis to surrender. Significance- Was the last major land battle of the Rev. War.
  • Treaty of Paris 1783

    Treaty of Paris 1783
    Description- It was to have freedom and was signed on Sep 3rd 1773. Significance- It ended the war!
