    When the British were going home they stopped by a arsenal. They were attacked and 3,000-4,000 British soldiers were killed, the colonist became the enemies of Britain.
  • Bunker Hill

    The deadliest battle of the war where colonist lost 450 men while the British lost over 1,000 soldiers. The colonist retreated, after that King George said that they colonist were in rebellion and sent the Parliament to make a line of ships for American coast.
  • New York

    Britain sailed to New York to seize their land, colonist tried to defend New York but failed. They retreated and were pushed across the Delaware River into Philadelphia by the British.
  • Trenton

    Washington risked everything to led 2,400 men to Trenton, New Jersey on row boats. They were able to defeat a garrison of Hessian in a surprise attack.
  • Saratoga

    Burgoyne was fighting off the colonist when he realized that this fellow British officers were holding Philadelphia and they weren’t coming to help him. His surrendered, became one of the most important events of the war.
  • Valley Forge

    Washington moved South to Yorktown because the British were there, he got 17,000 French and American troops surrounded the soldiers. They also bombarded the British soldiers day and night. Cornwall surrendered less than a month later.
  • Treaty of Paris

    People were talking about peace. Delegates signed the Treaty of Paris. This made the United States independent and a new nation.
