Eirik the red settles in greenland

The reason Eirik the red found Greenland was he was banished for killing his neihbors. So Eirik the red took his family and sailed northwest until he found Greenland. He named it Greenland because he thought in summer everything would be Green, but he was wrong.

In the year 986 Bjarni Herjulfson saw North America didn't land but informed Leif Eiriksson son of Eirik the red.

In the year 1002 Leif Eiriksson landed on North America he found out about it cause Bjarni Herjulfson told him of a land that he had seen. He landed in what is now Newfoundland and named it vinland.

Cartier interacts with Natives

In the year 1534 King Francis the first of France sent Jaques Cartier on a voyage to find the Northwest passage but he only found North America. Cartier traded with the Natives and brought Chief Donnacona's sons back to France to show the king.
