  • JavaScript

    JavaScript
JavaScript is the first programming language that I ever attempted to learn, back in eighth grade. It is a high level language that first appeared in 1995, and is used today for web applications. You would have a hard time browsing the internet without interacting with JavaScript. In college, I have made many websites in multiple classes for projects using JavaScript. Aside from being a core part of websites, JavaScript is also used in servers via Node.js.
  • Adobe Flash

    Adobe Flash
Adobe Flash Player is a software used to view multimedia content on the internet. It was created by Macromedia and released by Adobe Systems as freeware. I remember using Adobe Flash for many online gaming websites which utilized it for hosting games, commonly called "flash games". This was one of my main introductions to the internet. In elementary through middle school, I probably interacted with flash almost every day.
  • YouTube

    YouTube
YouTube is a video hosting platform in which users can post and interact with videos. YouTube was founded in 2005 by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim and is now owned by Google as of 2006. YouTube is a part of my daily entertainment routine and has been since at least middle school. It is also one of the most popular websites today and has a huge impact on modern culture.
  • Samsung Flight A797

    Samsung Flight A797
The Samsung Flight was a mobile cell phone with a slide out keyboard and touchscreen capability released in 2009. This not only represents the improvement in cell phone technology, but was the first phone I ever had, which I got in elementary school. It was a hand me down from my older brother, which I got because my oldest brother fell sleep instead of picking my sister and I up from school in the middle of winter in Wyoming.
  • iPad mini

    iPad mini
The first generation of these smaller tablets was released by Apple in 2012. This device expanded the Apple ecosystem and allowed the utility of an iPad, but similar mobility to a cell phone. This was a very popular device and had a large impact on the future of tablet devices. All of my siblings received one for the holiday season and this was the most excited I have ever been to receive a piece of technology.
