    Italian inventer:
    sent and received first signal. he didnt put music or any sound acually he just send the first sinal.
  • Vacuum tube

    Lee de forest created or borrowed the vacuum tube that amplified signal. so the 100 or 200 wats it has the implifier can send a signal to about 1000 wats, that way the speakers can have power and sound good. this help tranfer the signal much father.
  • KDKA

    it took marconi about 25 years for a radio station, the radio station was first names 8XK and later was renamed ADKA. This radio station is still around broadcasting out of pittsburg pennsylvania. Its been around for about 93 years.
  • WEAF

    WEAF aired a 10 minute 'commercial' or toll broadcast for an apartment complex charging $50. WEAF aired the commercial.
  • FRC

    established FRC (federal radio commision)
    organized the licensing of transmitters you had to have a licens in oder to transmit.
  • amos 'n' andy

    its a fomous show a sitcom set in Mahattan's historic black community of harlem. this show was popular in the u.s. in the 1920s through 1950s. this show began as one of the first radio comedy series. It grew and became a hugely popular radio series.

    Little orphan annie was a daily comic strip. this comic strip took its name from the 1885 poem "little orphan annie" . it ranked number one in popularity in a fortune poll in 1937. little orphan annie inspired a radio show in the 1930

    this children show was 15 minutes 3 times a week until may 1941 it broadcast 5 times a week. this show was broadcast in the abc radio networks.
  • gunsmoke

    This show was one of the popular radio shows. The radio version ran from 1952 through 1961.
