The Nazis fill the streets wwith torches to burn down all Jewish shops. This pervents the jews to not make money anymore, now they cant affored food. -

The law after the invasion becomes you have to wear a yellow star armband if you are over the age of 10 years old. -
Concentration Camp
The Nazis create a new concentration camp in Aushwitz, Poland. This camp becomes the #1 spot of death, the gas chambers are located here. -
Walled in
The Nazis walled in Podgorze, Poland. This is were Yanek lives. The germans are forming a surrounding around this town to shut out all Jewish people. Alll jewish people are located in a ghetto all throughout Poland. -
Hand over everything
Judenrats are jewish people who got picked by the Nazis to persuade the other jews to make commands on what the want to happen. In the middle of the eveing all Judenrats would knock down doors and take all valubes. It was the middle of the night when it happend to Yanek and his family. -
Finally a Prisoner
Yanek got herded into a train full of jews, just like himself. The train was headed to the Plaszow concentration camp. He only had himeself to hold up the family generation, so he thought... -
Uncle Moshe!
While being assigned Yanek's work detail in the concentration camp, he noticed a firmilar face, it was his Uncle Moshe! Finally he could be comforted by someone he loved. -
Just Disapear..
Amon Goeth killed Uncle Moshe, the only thing Yanek wanted to do was cry. But he couldnt do that whithout being noticed. Soon after Yanek realized the floor borads were loose. That night Thomas, Isac, and Yanek snunk under the floor boards with 4 loaves of bread and hid from the world. -
Shower Time!
At first all Yanek thought about was the Nazis taking all jews into big gas chambers to kill us. But it turned out that the Nazis were just toying with them, it was only a shower. Yanek survives yet another day in tradgey. -
I'm Prisoner B-3087
After the big shower, the german workers shaved our heads, and carved numbers and letters into our fore arm. Yanek was now a nobody, but Prisoner B-3087. -
Yanek's First Friend
Getting closer to the end of the war, people started to die off. This is how Yanek found a friend, Fred. Fred ended up being from Karkow, just like Yanek. They talked about food and family. -
FREEDOM!
Yanek woke up to a no Nazi zone, soldiers were coming toward the camp. But they werent germans, it was American soldiers! They brought Yeank back to Karkow, and he found his cousin. Yanek finally made it to America, New York City. Yanek Gruener survived a total of ten concentration camps. -
The hanging..
Amon Goeth was hung to his death for the killing off hundreds of jewish people. He killlled only in liquidation of the ghetto about 700 jews.
