    First Permanant Photo The First Permanent Photography was taken in 1826 by Joseph Nicephore Niépce. It was created using a technique "heliography". Niépce began experimenting with lithographic printmaking. During his trials with lithography, he experimented with light-sensitive varnishes and he was unable to fade his images. Niépce found he produced his best results while using a solution of bitumen.

    Negative Processes on Paper William Henry Fox Talbot created negative images in 1834 (specific date not given). He did this using paper soaked in silver chloride and fixed with a salt solution. William Henry Talbot also created positive images by contact printing onto another sheet of paper.

    The First Photograph of Man Louis Daguerre in 1838, took a photograph of Boulevard Du Temple in Paris. The photograph he took was the first ever photograph to include a person. As the image exposure time required over ten minutes that meant the people moving disappeared, but one person in the photo was getting his shoe cleaned and therefore didn't move so was captured in the photograph.

    The Earliest known Daguerreotype is by the inventor of the process, Louis Daguerre. The exposure was probably several minutes long, much longer than the 8 hours Niepce's heligraph required. The results were far more detailed. Daguerre inspired many by his work. A poem was written about his work:
    Light is that silent artist.
    Which without the aid of man.
    Designs on silver bright.
    Daguerre's immortal plan.

    The First Hoax Hippolyte Bayard, a French photographer, took the first Hoax Photograph on the 11th March 1840., Bayard produced this photograph of a drowned man claiming that he killed himself because of the feud.

    The First Colour Photograph The first color photograph was taken by the mathematical physicist, James Clerk Maxwell. Maxwell uses three separate black-and-white photographs taken and projected through red, green and blue color filters.

    Kodak Box Camera, put on market
    George Eastman, Kodak Camera George Eastman invented the small Kodak Box Camera in 1890, which was put on the market and in the hands of anyone. The Kodak box Camera was made of Roll Film which made the camera small enough to carry easily. Fast gelatin emulsions allowed 1/25 seconds exposure so subjects did not have to try to hold still for as long.

    Russel Kirsch, Digital Photography Russell Kirsch in 1957, made the first Digital Photograph. The Photograph was an 176x176 pixel digital image. He was able to do this by scanning a photograph of his three month old son. The low resolution in the photo occured as the computer wasn't able to store more of the information.

    Full Frame DSLR 5D Canon EOS 5D, first consumer-priced 12.8 megapixels full-frame digital SLR,made in 2005 by Canon. It contains a 35.8x23.9mm sensor and image processing, autofocus, metering and a shutter. It is known to be the first full frame 'non professional' camera with a standard body size.
