  • Period: to

    Oblivionstuck

  • Sofita's physical age surpasses her mental age

  • Katyla discovers her ancestor's journal

From this point onwards, Katyla begins training determinedly to get into the military, and her blue blood and skill with weapons eventually earns her a nigh-unrivalled place as a darling of the military; every legion wants her.
  • Sofita hears about the Wall of Ship

  • Davius visits the ruins for the first time

  • Terina and Davius meet

Terina and Davius know each other, as rustblood kids do.
  • Wennia and Sonwen meet

Wennia and Sonwen both frequent an abandoned underground cave system on the fringes between the lowblood slum city and the midblood surburban area, which is actually the Disciple's cave of legend. Sonwen moved in to avoid being culled, and Wennia discovers it by accident this day and found there was a piano, which belongs to Sonwen unbeknownst to her. They become friends, and with time moirails, but Sonwen doesn't inform her of his illness.
  • Wennia confesses her flushed feelings for Sonwen

Wennia waits for Sonwen in the cave, but he doesn't show up; eventually, she goes outside to look for him, and finds him unconscious. Once she brings him back to alertness, she confesses her feelings for him, but he avoids replying by finally telling her about the disease he has, which has now reached a near terminal stage; he has perhaps months to live, he says. Wennia then tells Sonwen she won't let him die, and flees, too, from her subrurban hive to become his nurse full-time.
  • Sofita makes up her mind to look for the Wall of Ship

  • Davius is struck by lightning

The day Davius stops visiting the ruins.
  • Sofita meets Terina when she stays in the slum city

  • Wennia approaches Katyla

Wennia knows the only place where Alternia bothers training real doctors is the military; bionics can be come by for any troll with the money, but heart surgery is too risky a matter. She therefore needs to find someone who has military connections to get medicine for Sonwen. After months of searching she locates Katyla, and at incredible risk she approaches her. To her surprise, Katyla agrees, for reasons unknown, and uses her military connections to get Sonwen a surgeon who can help him.
  • Katyla kills Sonwen

Sonwen spends months recuperating after the operation; Wennia pines after him, but he drifts away from her. Eventually, on Katyla's wriggling day, he confesses his red feelings for her. Katyla's commanders warn her that if she falls for him, she will be a pariah, because they discover that he has unrealized psionic potential and he will be touched by noone. Katyla is torn between her loyalties, which turn to rage when Sonwen swears he won't leave her and will seek her for the rest of his life.
  • Katyla becomes a hermit

Wennia finds out because she decided to come to visit Sonwen, and runs in as Katyla kills him. Enraged, she tries to kill Katyla in turn; security is going to cull her, but Katyla uses her martial adeptness to get past them, allowing both she and Wennia to escape. Wennia tries to pursue her, but Katyla is faster and gets into the mountains before she can catch her; Wennia, with no mountaineering skills, has no choice but to turn back.
  • Sofita enlists Katyla's help, as per Terina's instructions

Commissioning Katyla for the protection that her void offers, Sofita is able to avoid the pursuit that her lusus set after her.
  • Sofita reaches the Shipping Wall

She reaches the Wall of Ship with Katyla's protection, and fulfils her promise to Terina and becomes a Sufferer follower. Knowing that this would inevitably mean that she could not return to her hive in the sea, she hides in the Disciple's cave as Sonwen once did and sends out candy notes to spread her message.
