on october 30 1629 the king charles the 1st grants the lands south of 36 degrees and north of 31 degrees to sir robert heath.
In honor of king charles he named the land carolina. -
the king charels the 2nd gives carolina to lord proprietors
allowing them to heavely tax the citizens in order do deafend against spanish attacks. -
lord proprietors recieve new charter extending their territory.
