Teachers Start to Reduce Paper with 1:1 iPads
Teachers start to utilize apps that provide students with the resources that they need, reducing paper and encouraging electronic communication. These have been such things as Class Dojo, Google Classroom, and Handouts as of now! -
New ELA Curriculum - Digital Component
With a new ELA curriculum on its way, students will have digital support at their fingertips, whether they are at school or at home using their 1:1 devices. -
Parent Trainings
Involve parents in learning about iPads to get support from home in knowing what the children are experiencing. Further parent nights over the years will be presented by the students to show the projects they have created. -
PD - Classroom Environment
Using the existing furniture, conduct professional development to discuss collaborative styles in the classroom, resulting in fostering project based learning opportunities. -
Redefine "Differentiation" Model
Differentiation will not be something just "great" teachers do, but will be the expectation. With students and teachers having access to different means of tutorials or ways to expand thinking, all students can be working at their own pace. -
Project Based Learning becomes the norm for all grades
What is PBL?Teachers will have students active in PBL during a part of every day by this point, having spent considerable time in PD prior to this point. -
Teacher Led PD at sites/district
Teachers lead portions of staff meetings to share best practices and collaborate about ways to engage students. Early release (banked) time is used district wide to encourage grade level PLCs across the district to be created to highlight and foster.
