    Video Cassette Recorder (VCR)
    The VCR played prerecorded tapes, but could also be used to record new information onto the film. In the late 80s and throughout the 90s, video cassette rental stores were as common as gas stations. It was the highlight of my week to go to my local video store and rent a VHS to take home and watch. This experience with this technology instilled in me an appreciation for the art of filmmaking and storytelling.

    Although I enjoyed playing the original Atari and Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) with my older brother, my favorite gaming system was the Super Nintendo.
