Leaf Eriksson was the first Europeaoun Viking and explorer to sail west and fund a new land called Vinland. He was the first to discover and set foot on North America. He spent many winters in Vinland too. He didnt travel very far but still succsed.

Marco Polo was an amazing explorer and maker of a book. He explored to Aisa with some of his family. He tryed to find a shorter way from Europe to Aisa. He was so amazed at what he saw in Aisa, that when he got back he wrote a book about it. Soon after the book was published every one from Europe, who were Roalty, wanted to go. Marco Polo was a great explorer.

Christopher Columbus was a hard working explorer. He was sent by the Queen to find a safer and shorter way to get to Aisa. Well he did what he was told but he didnt land in Aisa, he actually found a new land which is called, North America. But when he got here he saw a bunch of Indians, so he surley thought he had landed in India. But Columbus was not the first to get to North America, the Vikings did.

Guanahani was an island which Clombus was possesiveing. It was located in Europe and was pretty big. Clombus also found the Indians there. If you went there today it would be so much diffrent and prettier. ( I am not sure if its the same island thoe)

If you see the globe today you will see the hole world, the right way. But Martin Behim made a globe, for their time. It wasn't exactly right, he didn't put on AMERICA! Well thats because no one really knew about it. If you think about what Martin Behaim did, its actually pretty amazing.
