    A tropical cyclone called Nargis hit Yangon Myanmar May 2, 2008, There were 2,420,000 effected and 138,266 deaths.

    An Earthquake happened in Haiti and effected a majority of Port-au-Prince. 3,400,000 people were effected and 222,570 lives were lost,

    Northeastern Japan suffered an Earthquake and tsunami that effected Sendai, Fukushima and areas surrounding. It was a magnitude 9 earthquake that killed 5,178 people.

    Hurricane Iniki was the most powerful hurricane to strike the U.S. state of Hawaii in recorded history. After turning north, Iniki struck the island of Kauaʻi on September 11 at peak intensity; it had winds of 145 miles per hour and reached Category 4 on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale.
