    Ho Chi Minh starts fighting for independence for Vietnam. In the 1930s, he started the the Indochina Communist Party. They protested French rule. His followers ended in jail, and he left the country to aviod a dealth penalty.

    When WW2 began, Ho Chi Minh hoped for independence. When it wasn't given, he started the Vietminh League. After the war, the French turned to get back full control of French Indochina.

    After control of the country was given to Ho Chi Minh, the US got worryed. They held the Geneva Conference. It resulted in the country of Vietnam to be separted into 2, Ho Vhi Minh ruling th north, and the US the south. This started the Vietnamese War.
