I arrived at Yosemite National Park , one of the worlds truly epic wonders, where I would teach natural history to school groups while immersing myself into the unique culture of rockclimbers.

Settling in Sacramento

I began my credential program in Sacramento and have taught in the classroom for the past 12 years. It's been quite a ride with many ups and downs, but I'm thoroughly enjoying my current 5th position. I've participated in many successful "Missions to Mars" with the help of my 5th graders.

The Deterding Guitar Club

I began teaching guitar to aspiring 4th-6th grade students in the fall of 2008, and it's been an extremely fun and rewarding experience ever since. I'm very lucky to be part of a school that appreciates and supports the Visual and Performing Arts.
