A Timeline of Claire Donahoe's life

  • My Uncle Rich died

    My Uncle Rich died. This put a damper on my Dad's family. It was a hard time for my Dad especially, because he was his brother. It was hard on my mother too, because she had known him long before he died.
  • Moved into my new house

  • A tree fell on my house.

    On this day, a tree fell on my new house. There was little damage and all of us were okay.
  • Started First Grade and met Genevieve

  • My first day of 2nd Grade.

    I started second grade this year. Second grade was a great year. I had Mrs. Gerken, who was one of my favorite teachers.
  • My first day of Third Grade

    Third grade was a good year too. I learned many new math strategies. I also got to sing in the chorus of the Operetta that year which was called Westward Whoa!
  • We got our dog Murty

    On November 6th, 2009, we got a new addition to our family. We got our dog Murty. murty is a Shih Tzu, Border Terrier, and Poodle Mix. I have always said that November 6th, 2009 was the best day of my life.
  • Started playing the Violin

    I started playing the Violin the summer before fourth grade. I still play the instrument.
  • My first day of fourth grade

    Fourth grade was a really great year. I had Mrs. Mateljan for my teacher, and she was great. We went on many field trips, including Nebraska City at Arbor Day Farm. I got to sing in the chorus for the Operetta that year called Kokunut Island. Fourth grade was so much fun. Unfortuantely, my best friend Sara Schneider switched schools.
  • Started singing in the Archdiosecan Children's Choir

    I started singing in the choir on this day. This was a big turn in my life. This is when I really found out how much I love to sing. I can't imagine what my life would be like without singing in the choir. i still sing in it today.
  • My first day of Fifth Grade

    Fifth grade was an okay year. I had a hard time because Sara Schneider wasn't there anymore. But we got to monitor little kids at lunch and recess that year, which I really enjoyed.
  • I got into the school play.

    On this day, I got a part in the school play called, A Twist of the Tongue. I really enjoyed being in the play. My older sister Annie, who was in eighth grade at the time, got a part too. It was one of the last memories we made when we were both at the same school. I realized how much I love performing when we did this play.
  • My first day of Sixth Grade

    Sixth grade was a good year. I made new friends. I didn't get into the play that year, but I sang in the chorus.
  • I got to sing first solo.

    On this day, I got my first solo singing part. I got to sing the first verse of "Once in Royal David City" at Christmas at the Cathedral on December 7, 2012.
  • I got to be the psalmist at the Eighth Grade Mass.

    On this day, I got to sing the psalm as a sixth grader at the eighth grade mass. I was really happy since I didn't get a part in the play that year. I got to be the psalmist the following year at the eighth grade mass when I was in seventh grade.
  • I started Seventh Grade

    Seventh grade was a good year. I made new friends and became a better Catholic by starting to Altar Serve.
  • I got a part in the school play.

    On this day, I got the role of Claudia in the play Blue Suede Paws. I got to sing a solo in the play. I realized how much I love singing and acting and how I want to pursue a career in that field.
  • Started Eighth Grade

    On this day I started Eighth Grade. I really hope it is a good year. So far, it is.
