I was born in Chicago, on south side of town. I was an only child. My father was a department store manager.

Our family moved to the suburbs. It was still a working class neighborhood. In my new neighborhood I had a lot of new friends. We enjoyed playing sports together.

I studied Spanish for 4 years, and made the Honor Society. I also played on the basketball team. Our team finshed in 2nd place.

I graduated from Thorncreek HS in 1976. It was sad to leave. I had made so many friends. I also grew as a person.

I really like computers so I studied computer science in university. I graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology in computer science.

At university I got a chance to do a homestay in Japan. I moved in with a Japanese family in Osaka to study Japanese language. It was very different from the USA.

After I got back from Japan I looked for a job. I was hired by Apple Computer in California. It was the job I wanted.

I married my girlfriend from Osaka, Japan. We lived in an apartment near Stanford University. It wasn't easy in the beginning, but we had a new life together.

Now I have a son! What a beautiful baby he is.
