March 27, 1991 was a wild and stormy night. This is the night that I was born. My parents are Steve and Cindy Burgess. I also have a sister who is 3 years older named Whitney. I was born in Huntsville, Alabama.

I went to high school at Athens Bible School. During these four years I played basketball, softball, and cross country. I graduated on May 29, 2009.

In the Fall of 2009, I began going to the University of North Alabama. I started studying here to become an Elementary School teacher.

I began working at the Hallmark in the mall. This is such a wonderful and meaningful job because I have the opportunity to help others find what they need to encourage others. This job allows me to help others show how much they care.

While I was attending UNA, I met a boy named Colton. We fell in love, and on August 8, 2011 he asked me to marry him. I said yes!
