My first year teaching, I was hired to teach Science, Math, Bible, and a Sign Language elective at Upland Christian Middle School. I worked here for one year while I finished my teaching credential from APU.

In preparation to become a science teacher, I received my Bachelor of Science and Masters of Education degrees at Azusa Pacific University

After 1 year teaching experience, I was hired at Chemawa Middle School, a Title 1 public school in the Riverside Unified School District. I worked here for 8 years teaching 8th grade Physical Science.

After teaching at a Title 1 school for 8 years, I transferred to Amelia Earhart Middle School in RUSD and am currently still teaching 8th grade science there. In 2015, the school celebrated their 20th anniversary and I dressed as Amelia Earhart and flew in a helicopter, landing in front of the students on a field for the celebration.

I enrolled and have been taking online courses through University of San Diego in order to enhance my ability as a teacher to incorporate technology into my classroom setting and enhance the educational experience of my students.
