    The First Italo-Ethiopian War was a war fought between Italy and Ethiopia, which was fought over disagreements within the Treaty of Wuchale. Italy got destroyed within the Battle of Adowa against the Ethiopians due to the support that Ethiopia got from France and Russia. For this event, I'm using an illustrated picture of the battle as it demonstrates what it was like.

    Mussolini landed a job within working for a newspaper for socialists within Italy entitled Avanti! Mussolini had the great power of influence through having this position. An example of this was during the Red Week of Italy when he persuaded a labour union to strike throughout his articles. I'm using the newspaper Avanti! for a picture as it shows the actual newspaper he worked for.

    During the first World War, Mussolini saw an opportunity for Italy to intervene within the war, and expressed this opinion in public through his popularity as a socialist. As a result, many socialists conflicted with him saying that these weren't socialistic views. This caused him to be kicked out of the Socialist Party. I'm using a picture of the socialist party symbol to show what he was a part of.

    Giovanni Giolitti was the Italian Prime Minister for a total of 5 times. Fearful of Communism affecting Italy, he gave in and was in allowance of the rise of Fascism. He didn't try to defy them at all. For this picture, I'm using a photo of who Giolitti was.

    The PNF was the Fascist Party within Italy at the time. Forming the party, Mussolini was also elected it's leader, helping him lead the March on Rome. I'm using the symbol of PNF to represent the group as the photo of this event.

    On October 28th of 1922, Mussolini, along with members of the Fascist party and Fascist soldiers, marched within Rome to demonstrate Fascism. This resulted in Mussolini being appointed the next prime minister of Italy on the following day. I'm using an actual picture from the March on Rome to represent the event.

    This law stated that whatever party gained the majority of the votes in the election got 2/3 seats within parliament. This was done to help the Fascist party, which had the greatest amount of votes at the time. For this event, I am using a picture of Giacomo Acerbo, the man who proposed the law.

    An incident that occurred when an Italian general, who was resolving a dispute at the time, was murdered, which later turned into a military crisis. To represent the incident, here is a picture of Corbu, to show where this took place and where it fits on the map.

    This was an agreement that was created in fear of World War II after the negative effects of World War 1. It stated that war is prohibited. This image shows the pact being signed, which is significant to the event.
