The Start of the Confederacy
South Carolina secedes from the US because President Lincoln is elected. The secession of South Carolina was the start of the secession of six more states, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas. This caused Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina to threat to secede. These eleven states eventually formed the Confederate States of America. -

The day after the Civil War Abraham Lincoln was shot and killed in the Ford Theater. He was shot by John Wilkes Booth, who was an actor, in his head he was helping the south but in reality he really wasn’t it made things a LOT worse.
