Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold led a militia to take the British Arsenal at Fort Ticonderoga in New York.

Battle of Bunker Hill

Jun 17, 1775

This battle, fought on Breed's Hill in actuality, resulted in 1100 British soldiers dying. General Howe replaced Gage as the British commander because of the number of casualties, even though the British won.
