  • Battle of Lexington and concord

    The Congress pushed forth towards helping the colonials become independent. Making the colonials less in colonies more into a country.

  • Battle of Bunker Bill

    British defeated the colonials, but they had massive casualties. the colonials started to feel more confident.

  • Failed Seizure of Quebec Under Beneidict Arnold

    the colonials tried to capture Quebec, but failed in their battle. This marked the first major defeat of the Revolutionary War.

  • Common Sense Published

    Written by Thomas Paine, Common sense caused a revolution in the way that people thought. It said what many people were thinking at the time.

  • Adoption of the Declaration of Independence

    In Philadelphia, the Declaration of Independence announced the 13 colonies were independent from Great Britain.

    George Washington lead his troops across the Delaware River and defeated the British forces.
